I’ve begun work on a new unit concept: the Artillery Golem. This is a giant-sized unit for the dwarfs that will focus primarily on ranged damage and siege attacks. For now, all I have is a little teaser image, but there’s so much more coming soon!

I had a little time during vacation to work on the artillery golem. I managed to re-texture the back-mounted cannon. Its a small thing but necessary.

I’ve started working on getting the default animations to work. You can see that idle and walk are working (along with get-hit and die, which are not shown here).
I’ve also set up a basic test for a ‘full-auto’ animation for the artillery golem. Lots of progress, but still so much more to do.

I didn’t have much time to work on the Artillery Golem today since I was busy working on the VFX Breakdwon Dev Post.
However, I did manage to create the prefab, and fix the various things that would let me see him in-game for the first time. I should have my attack animations done by tomorrow, so we’ll see what happens next.

I’ve been sick the past few days and its really getting to me now. However, I did manage to finish up the full-auto ability (which I’m super stoked about), and most of the siege mortar ability. More on that stuff tomorrow.
